1. Stop CCleaner application if it’s running in the background via task manager.
2. Now open the hosts file directory at
   
   
   C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
3. Open hosts file and add this line at the end.

I really do not want to talk bad about you or anything, but that's all is bullshit ... the keys are already 3 years old.
You just have to BEFORE installing CCleaner, just disable the internet. This is just a normal serial key you enter, why turn off antivirus ??? You do not have to change your Host.
But you forgot the most important thing, turn off AUTOMATIC UPDATE. If there is a new version, you can download the new one on the CCleaner homepage and have to activate again.
